Having Trouble With UMR?

Jan 05, 2012 (20:02:00)

UMR contracts with healthcare providers in their network to pay a discounted rate for services.  It has come to our attention that some healthcare providers are attempting (intentional or not) to recoup the discounted costs by billing the balance to the patient.  Please check your benefits and carefully examine the bills you receive from your healthcare providers.  In addition, if your healthcare provider has opted out of the UMR network, please let HR know, as they are keeping track of this figure.  If you have any questions, please contact City of Salem Human Resources Benefit Assitant, Carrie Wagner, at 503-588-6162 Ext. 7241, cwagner@cityofsalem.net.
